Almost every business requires a website nowadays and if you’re reading this, then you must have heard of WordPress’s credibility.
WordPress is one of the World’s best and easiest platforms to use in order to create a fully functioning website.
Compared to 10 years ago which would take you about a few days to create, it’s much easier to create a website now as it will only take you about 30 minutes or lesser.
To look at how easy WordPress can be, let’s have a look at…
What is WordPress all about?
WordPress is just basically like a platform anyone can use to build and maintain a website WITHOUT the knowledge of coding.
I remember 10 years ago when I wanted to start my own website, I had to know coding in order to change and update anything on my website and believe me, that is so very painful!
Coding is simply a language for computers which everyone still use today in creating software.
You could learn coding too but do bear in mind the extreme stress you will get into if you misspell even a letter because believe it or not, that would cause you problems later on.
However with WordPress, you can do everything without even knowing anything about coding because they have updated their systems so much that even an idiot can create websites today.
Benefits of using WordPress
Believe it or not, WordPress has some pretty cool features that will save you loads of time like:
- Automatically optimize your website to be mobile-friendly
- Make your websites more visible in search engines such as Google and Bing so that people can find your site easier.
- A wide array of free themes for your websites will be available to you which are very attractive. (Believe it or not, I’m actually using a free theme for this website)
- Regular updates available for you for free which is very much like the iPhone IOS update.
- There is a WordPress forum which you can ask for help.
- There are various WordPress training courses which helps you make the best out of your site by increasing visitor traffic and even on how to convert those people into buyers such as Wealthy Affiliate.
Did you know that there are 2 versions of WordPress?
There are actually 2 versions of WordPress which are WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
If you have at least $300 to spend every month, then you could opt for WordPress.com because for that version, all you need to do is write your articles and the WordPress team will take care of everything for you.
However by doing so, your website will be under their management which means that if anything happens to the WordPress server, you will be affected as well.
For example, did you know that WordPress is banned in China?
Here’s the funny thing about that ban.
Did you know that the ban ONLY affects websites which is listed under WordPress.com?
That’s right, this means that if you are using WordPress.org, you won’t be affected by that because although you are using a WordPress platform, you host your own websites!
A lot of people don’t like WordPress.org because it means getting your hands dirty as you need to play around the dashboard but really in my personal opinion, I believe it’s much better to use that due to its flexibility and price which is free.
Plus, you can actually have an online classroom which teaches you all you need to know about boosting your WordPress website not to mention monetizing it such as Wealthy Affiliate so really you’ve got nothing to lose.
Conclusion
WordPress has made is extremely easy for anyone to create a website in mere minutes so if there is any time to build one up, there has never been a better time than now.
